The NDGS is an affiliate of the Earth Science Information Center (ESIC) network. The U.S. Geological Survey coordinates the nationwide ESIC network, which provides information about geology, hydrology, topography, and land use in the form of maps, books, reports, and aerial, satellite, and radar images, and related products. ESIC also publishes and distributes earth-science data in digital form. As an ESIC office, the NDGS can assist the public in locating earth-science materials dealing with North Dakota. New Publications List The new NDGS Publications List is now available as a 43-page booklet or may be viewed on the NDGS website at http://www.state.nd.us/ndgs/publications. Publications may be ordered by mail, e-mail, telephone, online, or in person at the NDGS office. The North Dakota Geological Survey is a dealer for USGS topographic maps. The NDGS stocks all USGS topographic maps for North Dakota and can locate and provide existing maps for nearly every state in the U.S. We also stock selected U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, National Park, Army Corps of Engineers, and Soil Conservation Service maps for North Dakota.
