BISMARCK, N.D. – The ND Department of Mineral Resources was notified of an incident located SW of Stanley in Mountrail County located at approximately 48.155287895326 latitude and -102.570516798393 longitude. On Friday, March 24, 2023, at approximately 09:58 am, Montreal County Emergency Management was notified of a fire at a Hess Oil Site. The incident was due to an equipment failure that resulted in a fire and a spill of 290 bbls of Crude Oil and 260 bbls of Produced Water. The incident was contained mostly onsite with minor offsite impacts. All contaminated areas will be remediated.
