Paleontology is always looking for volunteers. Whether washing dirt, chiseling rocks, organizing books, or typing, we can generally find a task to fit your skill set. All volunteers must be 15 years or older. If you are interested in helping out, please fill out and return THIS FORM. Because paleontology is housed within the Heritage Center and State Museum, you may be asked for a background check.
We are looking for people (generally local, or close by) that can make a commitment to coming in on a regular basis. We appreciate the interest people have, and understand the desire to "try out" preparing fossils, but training people who can only come in a couple times of year is not cost-or-space effective for us.

Lab Schedule
Please note: the lab is CLOSED on Mondays. Normal lab hours for volunteering opportunities are:
Tuesday-Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm (closed over lunch)
Friday 8:30am - Noon
