Subsurface Geologist

The successful applicant will correlate the subsurface geologic units in the North Dakota portion of the Williston Basin using wireline logs, oil well cuttings, and cores. They will also oversee the deep well geothermal and subsurface mineral regulatory programs. This new position requires strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to represent the Geological Survey to the public, industry, and other agencies.

Location:
Either in the main office in Bismarck or at the Core Library in Grand Forks, ND.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in geology, preference given for applied subsurface geology experience.
